Bringing our customer segments to life - knowledge sharing session

AusNet has recently completed an innovative customer segmentation study that, for the first time, combines residential customer attitude surveys with smart meter data. The study provides rich and insightful new learnings about our customers’ consumption patterns, characteristics, motivations, and attitudes towards key aspects of the energy transition.

We know our residential customers are diverse: where they live, their household characteristics, types and patterns of work, and even how they travel to work. We also know that customers attitudes toward energy are changing, as are their appliances and consumer energy resources (CER), and their patterns of energy use.

By bringing our customer segments to life through this novel approach, we can ensure our future plans, tariff design, and customer services are catered to our diverse customer base.
